8.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED Display
The larger 8.5-inch Super Retina XDR display uses OLED technology for pixel-level lighting, deep blacks and precise contrast. It offers 2316 × 1512 resolution at 326ppi, P3 wide colour, True Tone, a 1-nit minimum brightness and up to 1200 nits peak brightness for HDR content.
Nano-Texture Display Glass
The nano-texture option uses specially etched glass to scatter ambient light and reduce glare in bright rooms or outdoor working environments. It is available on 256GB and 512GB configurations and includes an Apple polishing cloth for proper display care.
A20 Pro Performance
The A20 Pro chip is built for everyday productivity, graphics-intensive games, creative applications and on-device AI. This 256GB model includes a 5-core CPU, 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators and hardware-accelerated ray tracing, plus a 16-core Neural Engine. Dynamic caching and modern graphics features improve gaming, 3D rendering and media workflows.
Apple Intelligence and iPadOS
iPadOS is designed around touch, Apple Pencil and flexible multitasking. Apple Intelligence supports writing, image, communication and productivity features while using on-device processing and Private Cloud Compute where available. Feature availability can vary by language, region and software version.
12MP Cameras for Photos, Scanning and Calls
The rear 12MP Wide camera includes autofocus, Smart HDR 4, Adaptive True Tone flash, up to 5x digital zoom and 4K video recording at up to 60fps. The landscape 12MP Center Stage front camera keeps video calls naturally framed and records 1080p HD video.
Portable 5.4mm Design
At approximately 195.3 × 132.6 × 5.4mm, iPad mini is designed for reading, note-taking, field work, travel and entertainment without the bulk of a larger tablet. The Wi-Fi + Cellular model weighs approximately 263g, while the Midnight aluminium finish provides a clean, understated appearance.
Wi-Fi + Cellular with eSIM
This model combines the Apple N1 wireless chip with the Apple C2 cellular modem. It supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, 5G, Gigabit LTE, GPS/GNSS and eSIM. Mobile data requires a compatible plan, and this iPad mini is not compatible with physical SIM cards.
Apple Pencil and External Display Support
iPad mini supports Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C) for handwriting, annotation, illustration and precise creative work. The USB-C port supports USB 3 transfers up to 10Gb/s, DisplayPort and an external display up to 4K at 60Hz. Apple Pencil and display adapters are sold separately.
Battery and Charging
The built-in 18.9Wh rechargeable battery provides up to 10 hours of web browsing over Wi-Fi or video playback. Cellular models provide up to 9 hours of web use over a mobile data network. Fast charging can reach approximately 50% in around 30 minutes with a compatible 35W-or-higher USB-C adapter, sold separately.
IP67 Protection
The iPad mini is rated IP67 for splash, water and dust resistance under controlled laboratory conditions. Resistance is not permanent and may decrease with normal wear. Liquid damage is not covered by the standard warranty.
